April 4: INF Gosuke Katoh cracks Opening Day roster

Manager Charlie Montoyo was thrilled to deliver the news to Katoh, a veteran of eight Minor League seasons who finally gets his first shot in the big leagues at 27. Katoh looked great in camp, getting it done at the plate while playing some sharp defense. He’ll offer depth at second base, shortstop, third base and the corner outfield positions as needed.
