あるまちに　さまよい　まいごに　なった
ねんじゅう　きょくやの　このまちに　ひとりで　きたんだ
Wandering in a certain city, I have lost my way.
To this city in the polar night all year round, I have come all alone.

すたれた　じんじゃの　とりい　くぐる　ひかりが　ないのに　めが　くらむ
ふゆのうみへ　おぼれそうで　それが　ここちよくて

あさやけも　ゆうやけも　ないんだ　あおが　つづくだけ
In the cold night, I'm suffering from the long lasting malady of the city.
No morning glow nor evening glow is there, nothing but the blue lasts.

くらがりの　みじかい　ゆめを　みる　なまあたたかい　かぜが　ふく
たいようも　まひるも　きえるんだ　しかいが　ぼやけた
I have a short dream of the dimness. A lukewarm wind blows there.
The sun and noondays too would disappear. My sight got blurred.

This city where's dangerous is grown luxuriantly.
